HONGKONG-Hong Kong is one of the most amazing cities in the world. It is vibrant, honest and full of an energy that you cannot help but feel and feed off.

For years, an handful of hotels have claimed to be the best the city has to offer. Some of those are on the island, packed in around Admiralty, others overlook Hong Kong Island from Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

While all have their different selling points, there is one hotel that you absolutely must try when you are next in Hong Kong, and that is the brand new Ritz-Carlton, the tallest hotel in the world.

The views from the hotel are surreal. The Club Lounge - without a doubt one of the very best in Asia Pacific, if not the world - is on the 116th floor, the swimming pool which opens at 06:00 and closes at 22:00 is on the 118th floor and even has an open air deck from where you can sunbathe!

The rooms and suites are as luxurious as you would expect from a brand new Ritz-Carlton hotel, the bathrooms spacious and with every amenity required, there are even a few little surprises we will not tell you about as you need to experience them first hand.

Do try the spa, because not only are the talented masseuses some of the best in the world, but how can you not feel relaxed looking down on one of the world's greatest, and yet busiest cities, in absolute silence and luxury from the 116th floor.

You may prefer to be on the island, you may already have a favourite hotel, but once you have experienced The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong for at least a night or two, you will undoubtedly begin to question those loyalties.

To put it simply, The Ritz-Carlton is an absolute must the next time you are in this amazing city.
