Kimchi, tae kwon do, and now, B-Boying, are what come to mind when you think of Korea, according to R-16 host MC Go. But while that might be a stretch, the former hip-hop dancer's claim isn't as groundless as it may initially sound.

In recent years, Korea has emerged as a B-Boy powerhouse in the global acrobatic hip-hop dance scene, and the 2011 R-16 World B-Boy Masters Championship it hosted this weekend is considered one of the world's top five such events.

This year's R-16 (which marks the championship's fifth anniversary) invited more than 200 B-Boys, poppers and lockers from 16 countries for a two-day showdown at Seoul Olympic Park.

Boeing 787 Dreamliner arrives at Tokyo's Haneda airport

More than three years after its original proposed delivery date, Boeing's 787 Dreamliner made its maiden trans-Pacific flight and touched down in Tokyo's Haneda Airport on Sunday to start test flights with All Nippon Airways.

The flight video, from Seattle to Haneda and recorded by ANA, was put onto Ustream.

The initial May 2008 delivery target was repeatedly pushed back while problems in development were solved. Sunday's arrival marks a key step in the Dreamliner's route to operation.

With Yingluck Shinawatra set to become Thailand's first female prime minister, millions of Thais are celebrating the historic election results.

According to unofficial poll numbers, her Pheu Thai party won a majority of parliamentary seats in the nation's general elections on Sunday.

Despite this, the country is as divided as ever, given that Yingluck is the younger sister of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was ousted in a 2006 military coup.

香港餐廳週定於 7 月 11 日至 17 日舉行，屆時一眾食客可以優惠價品嚐香港知名食府的美食。

超過 30 間香港食肆將供應多款三道菜套餐，午膳套餐定價港幣 158 元，晚膳套餐則為港幣 298 元。而米芝蓮星級食府每一星額外加收港幣 100 元，即以港幣 398 元便可於米芝蓮一星食府享用晚餐（另加服務費）。

別與四月底舉行的春天美食節餐廳週混淆，香港餐廳週是由 Diningcity.com 舉辦的。這餐廳網站於比利時、荷蘭和盧森堡舉行比荷盧餐廳週時，成功錄得30萬宗預訂，現在則把餐廳週引入亞洲。

香港餐廳週的預訂必須於網上進行，活動於 6 月22日早上 10 時開始接受預訂，預期訂座反應熱烈，欲訂從速。

在過去 5 年有看過韓國電視劇的話，便知道只在單一領域發展的韓國藝人根本無法挑起黃金時間節目的大樑。現在演員都唱歌，歌手都演戲，藝人兼任綜藝節目裡的搞笑主持人，直到一天你發現你已想不起他們原本是如何出生的。

這種情況在新一代藝人身上更見明顯，歌影視這界線從他們一出道就已很模糊。看見K-Pop 歌手在電視劇裡費盡勁地唸對白，雖然有時讓人看得挺痛苦，可是當中亦有新人看似勝任有餘。

Tiger Airways grounded over safety concerns

Tiger Airways is endangered.

All Australian domestic flights operated by Singapore Airline's budget carrier have been grounded until Saturday, July 9, due to safety concerns. The troubled airline's future is uncertain after its most recent breach of safety standards.

Many industry watchers believe the grounding could be extended beyond Saturday. The carrier stands to lose an estimated AU$1 miilion a day from the grounding -- the longer it remains on the ground, the less likely its return.

Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) is determining whether to seek orders from the Federal Court to extend the grounding.

Tony Davis, international chief executive of Tiger Airways, is having crisis talks with CASA in Melbourne this afternoon.
