Which city has the most nightclubs?

Which the most greenery?

Where should you go if you want to eat at a different restaurant every meal, forever?

The answers are São Paulo, Singapore and Tokyo, respectively. 

But there's much more to be gleaned from the recently released World Cities Culture Report, published under the auspices of the mayor of London, Boris Johnson, which looks at cultural indicators in 12 of the world's largest metro areas.

World's most expensive cities for a hotel room

Revolution swept the Russian czars out of power in 1917, but, judging by the room rates, Russian hotels have never quite let go of the country's aristocratic past.

Hotels in Moscow are by far the world's most expensive and have been so for nearly a decade, according to a biannual study by Hobbs Robinson Group (HRG). 

Out of 50 major travel destinations surveyed, the Russian capital has had the highest average room rate for eight years straight.

Visitors typically pay about US$407 a night at a Moscow hotel.

In our list of the world's 15 most expensive hotel suites, we found that the Ritz-Carlton Suite costs US$18,000 per night.

Regular readers will know we love to write about food. We love to celebrate the good stuff and lambast the bad.

But there's a debate we've avoided, if only to save computer screens the world over from the liters of spittle that will fly from the mouths of irate readers as they vent incredulously about our "ignorant, biased, un-researched and unreasoned" choices.

Which is why, having taken the plunge, we want to turn this particular piece over to you, and ask: which country has the best food?

Approximately 100,000 kilometers of railways form the dragon nation's back, connecting some of China's best nature, culture and landscapes.

Here are seven China train rides you won't want to fall asleep on.

Beijing-Lhasa, Tibet

Renowned as the highest railway in the world, the "Sky Road" (its nickname in Chinese) climbs to a light-headed 5,000 meters. Much of the journey is at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters.
